About

Creek­side Ranch is a small fam­ily farm located in West­ern Yolo County, Cal­i­for­nia.  The farm pro­duces almonds, lamb, nurs­ery starts and pasture-raised eggs.  2011 is our first year of operation.

We believe in good stew­ard­ship of the land, and in pro­duc­ing nour­ish­ing food.  To this end, we fol­low farm­ing prac­tices that pre­serve clean water, encour­age wildlife, and build the health of our soil.

We are in our early 30s, part of a new gen­er­a­tion of farm­ers begin­ning to learn how to "inherit the earth" in a way that sus­tains our resources and feeds our com­mu­ni­ties well.  We'll share links to this food move­ment so you can join in and take part.

We also enjoy cook­ing the fruits of our labor — the many veg­eta­bles, fruits and herbs that grow around the farm, and when the sea­son comes, the lamb and the yellow-yolked eggs.  Through this blog we'll con­nect you with recipes and cook­ing blogs that we like.
